  1. Hi, nice blog. If you could answer my question it would be nice.

I managed to do as described on this page ..

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word-help/connect-word-documents-to-data-from-external-systems-HA101838848.aspx

But when i open document with Office Word, external fields in document options bar are “gray” – i can’t edit this fields. This probably is not supported ? or is just some permision problem ? I really need this feature – opening document in Office Word and chooseing external data(by selecting it ..), and then populates the document with selected. I am planing to have couple of document types which are specificly defined with Word Quick Parts.

    Thank you for answering.

    • Hi!

I’ve send you an e-mail. You can send me details information about your problem. May be you reproduce your steps while using the Windows 7/Vists/Server 2008/R2 native tool “PSR.EXE”. Just start it in Windows Start menu, record your actions and mail the resulting ZIP file to me.

  2. Hi ikarstein,

Really a nice blog! and very useful topics.
This gave me a big help.

But actually I looking for a way to make a custom form (New, Edit, Display) for a Sharepoint List, and I need some ‘code behind’. Do you have something to tell me about this ? could you help me doing it with the best practices of SP ?

    Thanks in advance.

    • Hi NJO!

      Thanks for your comment.

Before writing lots of text… Have you seen my post about creating SharePoint List Forms? I have written them in the last three months, I think.

If it’s not what you need please post again.

      Kind regards
      Ingo

  3. It seems as though the IF statments aren’t saved when using the ZIP method you had described to transfer a workflow…

    Any suggestions or known issues?

  4. Great Blog.
Suggestion: Why don’t you add search or tag cloud in your blog, that will be very helpful for the readers. 🙂

  5. Dude, I have some questions regarding custom aspx task forms. I have observed that you have created separate list for maintaining these tasks and that you are not using “Tasks” list. So, Do I have to create separate list for every custom aspx task form ? Why isn’t that we can’t use default task list for our custom aspx task forms. Also if there are multiple tasks lists then how we are going to notify user that task has been assigned to you.

I am sorry I am new to share point workflow’s and may be my questions are invalid. But the problem is that I am still not able to figure out that if I create separate lists for workflow tasks then how will I notify users about these tasks.

Your help in this regard will be highly appreciated and thank you in anticipation.

    Thanks & Regards
    Mukesh

  6. Hi,

What a great powershel script to create .exe files.
I only have a problem. I get an error when loading an exchange snapin and therefore On-Prem does not create mailboxes. If I run my script in ISE it works fine.

Can you give me a tip on how I can fix this. I am using poweshell version 5

    I have PS2EXE GUI v0.6.1 that I work with.

    It concerns this rule:
    Add-PSSnapin Microsoft.Exchange.Management.PowerShell.SnapIn;
